Options

  1. In phase Manalishi pickups, if you're not into the PG tone. However, I urge you to keep the PG tone. Slight variations of the volume controls while in the middle position will, effectively, cancel the out of phase tone and give you a range of tone not possible with in phase pickups.
  2. Standard orientation of neck pickup. (Strictly cosmetic, it has no effect on the PG tone.)
  3. Pick Guard (installed, or uninstalled w/aged parts) +$15
  4. Aged Dunlop StrapLok system (includes non-aged strap parts) +$20
  5. Four standard control knobs, or four foil top knobs
  6. String gauges of your choice
  7. Other options MAY be possible and can be discussed on an individual basis

The CORSA Guitar

Corsa guitars were created so I could continue my mission of providing authentic Peter Green tone to players at a reasonable cost. A guitar that is way better than anthing else you can buy, with more features and upgrades than even an Historic offers, at a lower price. Tonewise, it is a completely different animal and will likely be the best sounding LP style guitar you have ever owned and played - Guaranteed!

Utmost priority was given to tone in the design and implementation of a Corsa guitar. It is more important to me that a player appreciates the tone, rather than the cosmetics, of the guitar. You can buy a beautiful guitar that resembles a fine piece of furniture from a multitude of manufacturers, with severely compromised tone. Buying a guitar made the way I build them is a different story. Of course, delivering perfect out of phase PG mod tone is Priority One. The upside is, in order for a guitar to deliver such tone, it is important that it is finished in a non-traditional way, and this results in superior tone across the spectrum, not just while out of phase. The result is a massively resonant guitar, with incredible natural, unaided sustain, that will satisfy anyone who has superior tone at the top of their wish list, whether or not their goal is to emulate the unique tone, known as "the PG Mod."

The secret is in how Corsa guitars are finished and my own unique method of chambering, which reduces weight and adds to the acoustic resonance of the guitar, with more sustain than other methods of chambering. While most manufacturers target their guitars to the buyer who thinks shiny and perfectly finished guitars are the most desirable, while sapping most of the tone, my guitars have a "Player's Finish," which is specifically designed to allow the natural resonance of the mahogany remain intact. I say, "If you can feel the wood, you will hear the tone." Corsa guitars have an aged, "NTN" Finish, and I don't obsess over minor finishing flaws that other manufacturers would reject as unacceptable, while completely dismissing the fact that their guitars are tone dead in their quest for such perfection. On the contrary, minor finishing flaws in a Corsa guitar, although completly unintended, often compliment the overall aged look of the hardware and finish. In other words, expect a Corsa guitar to have perfect tone, but don't expect a guitar rivaling fine furniture that looks pretty, but is tone dead.

The Buying Experience

I offer a unique way of buying a guitar, which should be the norm. Either you see a completed guitar and listen to actual sound clips of it, or you  order a guitar that is yet unfinished, but see and hear the finished product before you make final payment. Still, there is no substiture to getting the guitar into your own hands to feel the playability and hear it under your own playing conditions. Only after receipt, when you are fully satisfied, do you decide if your Corsa guitar is a "keeper" or not. If not, you return it for a full refund, less shipping costs. I don't sell anything - Corsa guitars, Manalishi Pickups, Faber Parts - without a full satisfaction, money back guarantee.

I guarantee the build quality, playability, and, most importantly, the tone of my guitars to be top notch. Rather than provide a written "lifetime guarantee," which is then "small printed" by a battery of attorneys to make sure I am not really responsible for anything wrong with the guitar, I will repair or replace any Corsa guitar that has, or develops, a problem that is not caused by neglect or misue by the owner. My reputation as an honest and reliable person is your assurance that I am true to my word. Very simply, if something happens to a Corsa guitar that is my fault, I will make good on it, one way or another.

How to order a Corsa guitar

If the guitar is completed..., there will be a "BUY NOW" button on it. Click the button and you will be able to complete the purchase, using PayPal, or credit card.

For a guitar that is unfinished and available for reserve, there will be a "RESERVE" button on it. Once completed, the guitar will be assigned the next consecutive LCPG serial number. There will be an "estimated completion date" associated with each unfinished guitar, subject to change, but guitars placed on reserve will be given priority status and completed ASAP. A 50% deposit is required to place a guitar on reserve, and the balance is expected soon after notification that the guitar is completed and ready to go. You will see photos of the completed guitar and hear its sound clips before you are expected to make the final payment. If something about the guitar is not to your liking, you may cancel at that point and the deposit will be refunded in full.

Whether you purchase a completed guitar, or reserve a guitar, in addition, you have 7 days after receiving the guitar to decide if you want to keep it. If you decide to return it, a full refund will be given upon return and inspection. As long as the guitar is in substantially the same condition as it was sent to you, there will be no problems.

PLEASE NOTE:

There is sometimes a delay between the time someone purchases or reserves a guitar and the "Buy Now" or "Reserve" buttons are changed to "Sold" or "Hold." Therefore, there is no guarantee that a guitar listed as available is, in fact, still available. I have to manually update, and I try to do it as timely as possible. However, once a guitar has been successfully purchased or reserved, the shopping cart should state that there is no product available. That's the way it is supposed to work, but it has been known to take orders for more than one guitar before, so I must apologize in advance if this happens and I need to inform you that someone else made the purchase or reserve ahead of you.

Unsolicited Buyer Quotes:

"Got the guitars (P002 & P004) this afternoon safe and sound and was able to play them both before I had to head to Seattle, they are GREAT. I love the way they look feel and sound, smokin! Thank you very much. I'll be back home in the middle of next week and put them to work. More later."

Hey, Larry, I've since had the opportunity to try P005 through all my various different amps, and A/B her against all my other guitars, and I'm just totally over the moon. The acoustic energy that I can *physically* feel from 005 is just sensational, and yet at the same time the tone is so airy and open that it makes it a pleasure to try and tease finer and finer increments of expression and subtlety from the strings. A real-eye opener, and I'm truly grateful! Pete C., U.K.

Let me tell you that my guitar (P006) has just arrived this morning - safe and in a good state. Thanks for the prompt delivery. Im very happy with this excellent instrument. its not only the wonderful look but also the warm powerful and brilliant sound that I love from the very first moment. it has everything what i have looked for. Its a masterpiece!

Thank you very much for your efforts and your well done manufacturing. The small scratch isn't worth mentioning. I didnt hardly notice it. I will have a good time with this guitar and im sure it will give me much inspiration. Looking forward to our meeting next August in Switzerland.

The more I play P006, the more I love the guitar. Awesome sustain I've never had before! Thanks a lot!

Today I brought P003 to our friend from Switzerland, Andy Hägle, for oiling the fretbord; it took over an hour...not to oil, but to play!

Larry, he´s so excited about your guitar; he asked me to tell you that it's the best sounding LP he ever played. Andy wants to keep P003 till we come home and Norbert is proud about Andy´s reaction!"
Marion R., GERMANY

Larry, Guitar arrived today (P015), in tune, great action, ready to play. Aside from the birth marks here or there, I think I like this one better than the first one (P014). The first one is very nice - without a doubt - but this one seems to have more classic les paul character. LCPG 14 is woolier; LCPG 15 has grind. Both of them a fantastic. Love the neck carve on the new one. Love. It. Perfect fit for my hand. The bigger one works fine too, especially on such a light guitar.
